(NYSE: IMN) - a worldwide leader in removable data storage media, unveils its new selection of media products designed to help "memory keepers" create, capture, preserve and share users' important personal digital memories and data. These new product offerings are targeting a customer segment that Imation has coined "memory keepers" -- users with an expectation for higher quality, longer-lasting and more innovative digital media to protect and save their most precious video, music and photo memories.

Imation is changing the face of media with its Thematic range of discs. Imation delivers both form and function with these new thematic discs; “Grade A” quality, that can store up to 700MB (CD-R) and 4.7GB (DVD) of data, in unique and attractive designs.

Unlike printable media which requires a use of special printers and sometimes labels, these Thematic range of discs are specially designed and come preprinted with colorful prints to reflect various themes.

With its introduction in 2004, Imation has gone on to launch 9 series of Thematic CDs (consisting 54 designs). Today, Imation adds on two more Thematic CD series to its range: Adrenaline and Safari.

Adrenaline is a stimulated autonomic nerve action when one gets charged. That is the sensation depicted with the 'Adrenaline' series CDs. Each of the four CDs showcases an extreme sport - freestyle biking, inline blading, skate boarding and snow skiing.

Besides looking good, the Safari series of CDs is also educational. Each DVD comes available in +R and -R format, has a whopping 4.7GB capacity, and features simple clean-lined designs in 4 colors - Ice Blue, Misty Rose, Pearl and Titanium.

LightScribe(TM) Direct Disc Labeling Technology Brings a New World of Personal Expression to Memory Keepers
Memory keepers can soon burn professional-looking labels on their CDs and DVDs right from a computer using LightScribe(TM) Direct Disc Labeling technology. Developed by HP, LightScribe is a combination of LightScribe- compatible media, LightScribe-enabled recordable optical drives and LightScribe-supported software configurations that enable customers to burn to the data side of the disc, flip the disc over and "burn" a silk-screen quality label with the desired text and graphics using the same laser -- no printer or adhesive labeling required.

Imation will bring to market this new line of LightScribe-compatible media, as part of a licensing agreement between HP and Imation. Under the agreement, Imation will provide worldwide sales, marketing and distribution services for Imation-branded LightScribe-enabled CD and DVD media products.
