storage media, today announced the availability of its new DVD Double
Layer burner. Featuring speed and performance, users can store important
personal and business data, from home movies, music, photographs to
backups of important files, applications, presentations and reports
within minutes, and with complete assurance.
The new Imation double layer burner supports both DVD+R and DVD-R formats at 16x speed - the fastest DVD media writing speed available today. Users can save 8.5 GB of data on a DVD double layer disc at 4x speed, without needing to turn the disc over. 8.5GB equate to four hours of DVD-quality video, 16 hours of VHS-quality video, or 2,000 songs.

- SMART-X: Adjusts CD-DA / VCD / DVD data extraction to a fastest allowable speed according to both data request rate from host and disk quality
- VAS (Vibration Absorber System): Reduce vibration and noise during recording and reading
- Supports "Ultra Speed Plus" Industry Standard: Drive is able to recognize and write a 32x CDRW media at the drive's specified speed
