Imation's New Disc Stakka - Your Affordable Personal Disc Manager

(NYSE: IMN) - a worldwide leader in removable data storage media, today announced the launch of Disc Stakka, an automated carousel that stores, protects and retrieves discs, including data CDs, DVDs, music and game discs

The compact Imation Disc Stakka unit, a first of its kind in South Asia region, holds up to one hundred 12 cm discs in one unit, and is linked to a PC or Mac computer via a single USB connection supplying both power and data. Up to five units can be stacked together to create a tower that holds 500 discs without any additional cables, USB connections or desk space.

More than 100 towers can be linked together to store, manage and protect over 50,000 discs, all controlled from the one computer. In addition, Disc Stakka units can be added or removed from anywhere in the system without having to reboot.

Disc Stakka is bundled with an intuitive disc management software, the Opditracker, which includes a database and a search engine. It allows the user to search the database of stored discs by title, keyword, directory or file name and retrieves the right disc quickly regardless of the number of Stakka units.
